Seniors & Cancer

Remarkably, 39.6 percent of Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Increasingly, cannabis emerges as a potential cancer treatment option. However, there is a significant amount of misinformation available on the internet on how cannabis can play a role in treatment.

While there has been significant research on cannabis can help patients manage symptoms, remarkably, there are only preclinical studies investigating the anti-cancer and anti-tumor actions of cannabis (and cannabinoids). There have been no high-quality human clinical trials to determine whether or not cannabis may help slow the progression of cancer (or induce remission).

Cannabis is complicated subject. We’ve assembled resources that we hope helps demystify cannabis in the context of cancer care. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to us!
